Mentorships

Beekeeping is an incredibly interesting science and offers a different experience for everyone, one we believe everyone should have an opportunity to experience. In that spirit, Mint Hill Apiary offers mentorships to serious candidates. Our ideal candidates should have some understanding of Organic Agriculture, though not a requirement. All candidates are required to be commited to sustainable beekeeping and sustainable farming. We will be focusing our attention on Urban area beekeeping only, though we have extensive knowledge in agricultural beekeeping.

If you feel you are a good candidate, please e-mail your name, age, phone number and a 150-250 word essay on why sustainable agriculture and beekeeping are important to you. A response confirming receipt will be sent and the information will be reviewed within 14 days and our decision will be e-mailed at that time with any further instructions or questions.

We are especially interested in working with non-profit inner city groups focused on adult and youth rehabilitation or training or youth outreach. I will communicate with verifieable administrators only. We may ask you to provide recommendations after our initial review."
